Function of Average

Average in statistics, its functions is as following:
1.to describe the average level of a data group;
2.to direct the middle location out. i.e, it shows exact location of reference object to investigation data.
It statistic significant meanings are:

2. usally, is used to compare among different data group as a representive data of a data group.
